What is a Slot Policy?
A slot policy is designed to insure a group of part-time midlevel (non-physician) only providers of the same specialty at a clinic.
How does a Slot Policy Work?
The slot policy is based on “full-time equivalency” (FTE). This group of part-time midlevel providers cannot exceed 40 hours per week collectively as a slot is equivalent to a full-time midlevel provider with the same specialty.
