Jerry Kitchens, MD

Jerry Kitchens is a native of Birmingham Alabama. He attended Birmingham-Southern College and graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1987. He completed his surgery residency in 1992 and joined Surgical Associates, a group founded in 1932 by Dr. Joseph Marion Donald. He served as President of the group for ten years. During his tenure, Surgical Associates became one of the initial groups to join Red Clay, RRG. Dr. Kitchens has served as Treasurer of Red Clay since 2007. He assumed the position of Medical Director of Red Clay in 2021. He also serves in an administrative position at Ascension St. Vincent’s Health System. He has been a licensed casualty insurance agent since 2014.
